We are delighted to announce that we have launched a digital archive of our journal on our website.
Our members will be familiar with our annual publication, the Journal of Historic Buildings & Places, previously called Transactions of the Ancient Monuments Society. Each Volume is dedicated to promoting the study of architectural history and conservation.
We have now made Volumes 1- 62 available for free in a digital format. Our intention is that this will allow greater access to this invaluable resource, spreading knowledge about the promotion and protection of our historic environment. We also hope it will be of interest for those doing research, allowing them to read articles that may have previously been difficult to access.
Access the digital archive here.
The website also allows the volumes to be searched, via the search function on the web page. You can find articles specific to your interest by using a search term. Need to find an article written by a specific author? Author names can be searched as well.
Members will still receive a complimentary copy of the Journal as part of their subscription, and retain exclusive access to the latest volumes. Volumes 63-65 of Transactions, and volumes 1-2 of the Journal, will still only be available for purchase by the general public at the present time.
