Good Hope Estate, located outside of Falmouth on the northern part of Jamaica, is one of the many places in the country where built heritage is intrinsically tied to a long history of colonialism and forced labour. Ke Vaughn Harding presents A Village at the Foot of a Hill: Preserving Legacies of Resilience at Good Hope Estate, Jamaica, a presentation focusing on the interpretation of the lives of enslaved people at the Estate.

His talk will look at the way in which heritage professionals on the island have long conveyed a recognition of the transformative power of appropriating colonial heritage for speaking the truths of hardship, and the triumph over it.

Join us for a fascinating insight into the history of the Good Hope Estate. An event not to be missed.

Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite. Alternatively please contact us for other methods of registration.
