We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting an online public lecture given by renowned architectural historian Nicholas Cooper.
His lecture, The Tragedies of Holland House, will look at the history of one of the most remarkable houses of its age. Built in the early 17th century, Holland House merits a fresh consideration of its extraordinary design and its builder’s motives, its subsequent neglect, and whether the subsequent demolition of most of its remains was justified.
If you are interested in attending, please register for the event here. The lecture is free for AMS members, and £5.00 for non-members. We look forward to welcoming you to what will be a fascinating insight into the rich history of one of London’s finest lost buildings.
