We will kick-off our Online Centenary Lecture Series on Wednesday 17th January 2024 at 6pm.
Join us in welcoming our guest lecturer Matthew Saunders, former Secretary of Historic Buildings & Places (then known as the Ancient Monuments Society), and current Ecclesiastical Caseworker. Matthew will be presenting ‘A Century of AMS/HB&P Casework: Victories and Losses’. We will be introduced to some of the history and casework over the past 100 years and be treated to some highlights from Matthew’s time with the Society.
Matthew Saunders MBE was Secretary of AMS from 1977 until 2016, Director of The Friends of Friendless Churches from 1993 until 2016, Secretary of the Joint Committee of the National Amenity Societies from 1983 until 2005 and a Trustee of The Heritage Lottery Fund 2005-2011.
