Join us for an in-depth online session exploring the cleaning of historic building facades. Participants will gain practical insights into traditional masonry cleaning methods, including:

  • A review of traditional masonry cleaning systems, such as DOFF, Nebulous spray, abrasive blast cleaning, poultices, and chemical cleaning.

  • An introduction to Façade Gommage, the innovative dry, non-abrasive cleaning system from Thomann-Hanry®.

The session will be led by Simon Collins, Business Development Manager at Thomann-Hanry®, who brings over 25 years’ experience in the commercial building cleaning sector with a particular focus on heritage and historic buildings.

Thomann-Hanry® have been established in the UK for 20 years and operate nationally and have successfully cleaned, restored and surveyed many wonderful historic buildings such as the Bank of England, Somerset House, King’s College Cambridge, the Chapel at Rugby School, The Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh and many more.

This training is ideal for heritage professionals, conservators, architects, and anyone interested in the care and maintenance of historic masonry.

Tickets are free (with optional donation) for HB&P members and £4 for non-members.
