About the Landmark Trust

Founded in 1965, the Landmark Trust is a building conservation charity that rescues historic buildings at risk and gives them a secure future. It carefully restores these special places and makes them available for self-catering holidays, allowing people to experience their history first-hand. Income from holiday bookings helps fund the ongoing care and maintenance of the buildings, supporting their long-term survival.

From castles and cottages to follies and former hospitals, the Landmark Trust’s work demonstrates how sensitive restoration and thoughtful new uses can help historic buildings remain part of our lives today.
