This is a rare opportunity to discover one of the country’s most celebrated historic landmarks.
This special tour will take visitors around Blackpool Tower and beyond the public areas to explore the history, architecture and engineering of this remarkable Grade I listed building.
The tour is expected to include the iconic Ballroom, Circus, Tower Top, Silver Landing and a selection of other historic spaces that are accessible on the day. As access to certain areas depends on operational requirements, the exact route may vary.
As there will be a live performance taking place in the Circus, it will not be possible to visit the former animal housing areas beneath the circus auditorium during this tour. Instead, we hope to include a visit behind the magnificent Wurlitzer organ, offering a fascinating opportunity to see some of its historic mechanisms in action.
The tour will last approximately two to two and a half hours, although timings may vary. We recommend allowing until around 4.00pm for the visit to conclude.
We are extremely grateful to Blackpool Council for enabling us to offer this unique opportunity.
